Prelude

This blog is a depiction of my life's past, present and possibly, future- when I decide to invent a time machine.

Greetings to anyone who made the effort to visit(And of course, to those who stumbled into this page totally by chance). So for those who are here reading this, please turn a blind eye to the occasional over-cheesy post and the inevitable typo errors.

Have a nice day!
(Note: Refer to bottom of page for the "Korean Culture Shock-Heads up!" section where I jot down little oddities or just interesting facts about Korea, Seoul and its denizens)

Shower time

Whenever I take a shower (and no, this is not about to take a turn for the steamy and nasty), my mind wanders off. It's like someone flips a switch and I'm off navel-gazing.

During weekdays, especially in the evening, it's a time for self-reflection after a day's worth of stress and work. Analysis of certain events and exchange of words takes to the stage of thought, along with the nonsensical and ludicrous *cue imagination and the spongebob gesture*

More often than not, snapping out of this state of idle stupor, I would wonder if I've shampooed or not. Sometimes, I even wonder if I'm starting to lose my marbles. Wow, mid 20s and already I'm seeing leprechauns and unicorns! So yes, it only takes the twist of a knob- specifically the one that turns on the shower- to let the horses out. And boy oh boy, see them run.

I've been thinking lately about the state of affairs revolving around my puny existence. This occupies a considerable amount of time in the shower. The way I see it, if the trajectory of things remain as they are, I have a feeling that things might not work out for my dream mansion and helicopters, and yachts, and personal chefs, and that unlimited supply of Cadbury bars and Kit Kats. Be it a monster truck, living like royalty, getting the girl of your dreams, is it not true that the dream/goal has to be always kept close to the engine that's driving you there? In the pursuit of whatever I'm trying to prove, there's a small guy within me who's telling me that I've lost the plot, that the ship is now sailing without a compass. What of that perverse thrill of charging headstrong into a storm just to feel the excitement of getting out of it alive? Is there really so much I have to prove that I'm willing to forgo the essence of living the way I want?

All the unanswered questions will only poise themselves, single file, in front of you. Confident and unrelenting, as if they'll only disperse when you've answered every single one of them. It probably won't be long before one more adds itself into the mix for a show of unity with its fellow Question Marks: "Have I shampooed my hair or not?"

Today's quip:
Confidence is NOT standing next to your competitor and thinking to yourself, telling her*: "Dangit, if I were you, I'd choose him too".
