With my face flat on the pillow, the hand guides itself with difficulty, skidding off bedsheets and the cold floor tiles. The phone simply needs to be stuffed, what with all that racket it's making. Alas, the grip on the phone is firm, a push of buttons... and back to that suspended space between consciousness and dreamland. Thank god for Snooze. It merited me to go the extra mile (about an arm's length to be exact) by checking this out online.
OKOK!, so I didn't find out who invented the Snooze. Big deal.
Lets take the positive out of this.. At least now, we know why snoozes last for 9 minutes and not 10.
Anyways, I thought about my time-wasting antics (which involve sometimes a rubiks cube and also digging up treasures that should remain buried while while drifting in and out of sleep)
Well, what better way to while away time than by filling up this site with more thoughts. As my brain continues to turn to mush and slacking descends into sheer negligence and I-don't-give-a-damn-ism, I ponder the prospect of finally standing alone on the streets of a misty town in UK. Frankly, I dream plenty about that nowadays. Realistically speaking, I am 90% confident that I'll be able to go. (10% reserved for Visa processing mishaps or exam-fluffing)
The only big worry is that of the ability of my own body to adapt to the environment there... Everyone who knows me know that I'm a martyr to the flu virus. I get the runny pipes every so often that I fear the leak would be worse when we move to a colder climate.
YAAWWn
I shall retire to my bed and dream away. Tomorrow, we'll (hopefully) switch back to a more industrious mood.
Goodnight world!
Prelude
This blog is a depiction of my life's past, present and possibly, future- when I decide to invent a time machine.
Greetings to anyone who made the effort to visit(And of course, to those who stumbled into this page totally by chance). So for those who are here reading this, please turn a blind eye to the occasional over-cheesy post and the inevitable typo errors.
Have a nice day!
(Note: Refer to bottom of page for the "Korean Culture Shock-Heads up!" section where I jot down little oddities or just interesting facts about Korea, Seoul and its denizens)

Fun
It was fun going up Genting again.
This time, with a bunch of hooligans and cam-whores (yours truly included). The journey uphill took some guts from the voluntary pessengers and myself seeing that it was my first time driving up a 10% inclination for more than 5 minutes with my Savvy. As I'm not exactly in the mood for story-telling, I'll just put a lid on this and say that it was great fun riding with- alphabetically ordered- *Klok*, Mr.A, Ms A, Din, Mik, Mun and Mun's friend (:P fiiine, Y.Y.)
Random fun recommendations:
Movie- The Happening
Freaky movie M. Shyamalan Style.
Music- Star Wars' main Theme
Series- Pushing Daisies
Not-so-fun stuff:
Mispronunciation of the day- Sachet, which I have rolled off my tongue as set-chet all my "sachet"-knowing life. Correct pronunciation: "Sashay"
Being behind the wheel for 2 hours with the same number of slumber hours the previous night.

I was organizing the posts and doing some toggling with the sidebars when I found this unpublished post in the midst of the mess.
There's a place in the centre of this heart,
that yearns for a forlorn part,
in this world of tizzy plateaus,
of which has rendered me
powerless:
to stop its advancement
to prop myself aplomb
to make the worries fade away
when your heart beats
close to mine
There's a picture of my life
and there's yours
smacked in the middle,
encased by the invisible shell
that shields it from change
What happens
when the shell is removed
when all defenses are down?
the imperative that was
to chain down change
is unlocked and
rust eats into the metal frame
while colours fade away and
the paper that holds the memories itself crumbles
to ashes of the soon-to-be forgotten
as familiar faces turn into those of strangers
(7/10/07)
Brings back fondness to the heart... if only for a little while.

Criss-cross
Inspiration comes with a cost.
Petrol comes with a very hefty cost after the recent hike.
Travelling to and studying in the UK comes with almost a lifetime of dough.
What's really mind-boggling is that the cost of being slapped in the face- figuratively- comes almost at the price that's equivalent of slashing yourself with a penknife over and over and over again.
Ha-ha
I'd rather go back to being undecided and semi-insane. Shouldn't have took the plunge at all perhaps.
Ha-ha
Seriously now, do I actually know what I'm getting myself into?

Random digression-
Sometimes, I stare at the pieces of receipts and tickets that I've kept and wondered to myself if they're just one unattainable attempt after another to capture small fragments of the past without cam-whoring. Like, what the hell man? Who am I kidding?
And YET, I continue to do so, for the sake of the collection.

Recent happenings:
I went to Genting for the click5's concert.
I finally figured out the stupid cubed puzzle.
I found out that wanting something at the wrong time and place kicks ass.
I also found out that getting over my naive and over-sensitive self takes a great deal of personal maneuvering skills while a battle rages on inside of the brain. Picture some guy on one of those old Roman chariots whizzing through the battlefield, avoiding being a crossfire casualty and trying to fucking resolve the conflict with only a loudspeaker and a weary old fart for a horse.
"Figure out what you want, and go get it."
You know, I'd really like to punch a hole in the fella's face right now. By 'the fella', I'm referring to the guy who came up with that.
But I shall not seek him out.
Other than the very high probability that he could be dead now, I shall not do so because it'll be taking the easy way out.
Who says so?
Well I DO!
It takes one swing to flatten the quote person's face while it takes thousands of crisscrossing neurons' resistance and above all, rational reasoning to triumph over evil-mindedness.
Then again, I guess the basic rationale rule doesn't apply in this game huh.. Never has.
I'd ask "Why lar...?"
...if I don't already know the answer by heart.
Opportunity created, opportunity destroyed.
P.s.: Eh, get a grip la.. you're probably making a mountain out of a molehill.
Plus, 'ha-ha' could be the lamest adaption of mine (besides the small matter of using "stuffies" at one crazy instant once upon a time). Wooot to that!

Happy Birthday Quihong
This is a message for my brother:
The things I have done for you (instead of TO you) never seem enough to quash the guilt of missing out on chunks of your life.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Quihong, my (sometimes insufferable, but mostly OK) brother :p.
Happy happy 12th birthday.
Note: In case you don't understand the message, there's this thing called the dictionary. Use it.

Reaction's pompous elder sibling
Overreacting to situations, as is my wont, is a bitch. It's a weakness that worsens what already is a riot into full-fledged mayhem.
Throw a banana into the cage and the famished monkey smashes its head onto the wall till all that's left 10 minutes later is a lump of fur and a smear of red on the wall.
Throw a horse onto an endless grass plane and the steed runs its legs off (literally). Come back after one day and you see a crippled piece of flesh in the middle of that green meadow.
I'd throw a few more animals into the fray but the SPCA+WWF might launch a campaign against virtual torturing of imaginary creatures. Don't get me wrong here. I'm ALL for the protection of wildlife and our little furry friends. Imagine a world that's ONLY inhabited with ugly ass creatures (things called HUMANS) whose only purpose is to expand, improve(themselves) and reproduce til the entire earth's natural system crumbles.
No birds chirping at the break of dawn to greet you when you get up.
Nobody to keep the pesky insects at bay.
No criminals who'd die unexpectedly from an acute allergic reaction to cats.
The world would then be dominated by a vegetarian empire and hard-core meat eaters would resort to cannibalism in order to satisfy their obsessive compulsion. Hippie tree-hugging politicians would remind the people living in the densely polluted earth of how they've "TOLD YOU SO" and no one listened.
The vegs would wage war on the cannibals and soon, people like me would get more confused than usual as we laugh/cry under the hippie nuke bomb's peace symbol as it heads towards the land of meat-eaters.
Have no fear tho, as there's a superlogic way out of this:
When you're in deep shit, so to speak, just sit down and count to 10 or something before killing everyone who's at the scene with your buzz lightyear zapper cus then, no one would be alive to save you from drowning. And believe me, drowning in shit (assuming that shit's not denser than us, which I believe is true) would be 100 times worse than your average drowning in say, swimming pools or bathtubs. Don't get me started on the guilt. You'll probably suffer more while drowning, thinking of the innocent lives (minus the fella who pushed you into the mess in the first place, whoever that is) you've taken.
Overreaction...
Uncalled for, really.
Then again, we are sometimes faced with situations that cannot afford even the ten seconds for you to count to 10. We, the despicable human race, are now on the brink of a sharp edged sword. Time is NOT on our side.
Either we continue to live our life in ignorance and resign to our slow deaths OR stand up to fight like our ancestors who'd overcome seemingly impossible adversities.
Fight for a greener earth.
Fight for our future generations.
