Prelude

This blog is a depiction of my life's past, present and possibly, future- when I decide to invent a time machine.

Greetings to anyone who made the effort to visit(And of course, to those who stumbled into this page totally by chance). So for those who are here reading this, please turn a blind eye to the occasional over-cheesy post and the inevitable typo errors.

Have a nice day!
(Note: Refer to bottom of page for the "Korean Culture Shock-Heads up!" section where I jot down little oddities or just interesting facts about Korea, Seoul and its denizens)

Never done

Like the rivers that flow and the birds that chirp in the morning, some things can never be changed... unless a great act of God intervenes. By that, I mean if a freak of nature occurs that throws things off the scale. You don't have to go far in search of these "never done" occurrences as one of them lies within our humble abode. Yes, you, I'm talking about that little cupboard knob in our bathroom. Or rather, the lack of one. From the day we moved in, I've stored my toothpaste in that little storage right above the sink. It was from that day too, that I realized the knob wasn't there. Nothing was done to fix it and not even a complaint was uttered amongst flatmates on that missing piece; a piece that costs me an extra 1.5 seconds every morning, mind you.
Why 1.5? It's because that's how long it takes to pry open the knob-less door (by opening its twin first before proceeding to pull this one). 1.5 seconds may seem insubstantial (because it is), but think about the cumulative time wasted over the past 9 months. One piece of built-in furniture has proven, in its own magical way, how complacent we can get when put in a comfortable situation. No need to alter the way things are. They're just FINE the way they are man, who needs change??

So speaks the one who wants a better future, country and life for his next generation. How can we achieve something so ground-breakingly awesome when we can't even fix an extra knob onto the little toilet closet?
